Nine Days Later

I saw this link on Boing Boing. I guess they thought it was cool, but I would be afraid to use it if I had things that lived in a crib. First of all, what if it malfunctions? Suddenly the crib thing is stomping around the room like arobot from a 60's television show. What if.. I dunno, they light on fire or something? What if you leave it on all the time and the baby becomes aclimatized to constant rocking motion thus forcing you to relocate to a house boat? I find it amusing how the website promotes how much rest parents will get as a result of buying their product, like it is a full-time nanny or something. Some benefits that they state are "Quite[sic] operation" and "Less arguments amongst couples." Wow, this product should be featured on Dr.Phil or something.

Lastly here is the wikipedia entry on emoticons or 'smileys.' The link goes to the anime ones which are the most interesting. For example this is
(>_<) angry or frustrated. Just a different way of looking at letters and symbols I guess.

It is Tuesday

Ok, here are a few links.

First of all here is an interesting site with colour pictures from the Depression to World War 2 (you can get bigger versions if you look around a wee bit). Maneuvouring around is a bit clunky, but that is the price we must pay.

Secondly here is a link that caused quite a stirr on the internet... apparently.

Thirdly this Hummer related shirt is amusing.

Lastly hockey is getting close to starting. This is good. This is good because hockey is good and makes me feel good. The Oilers are good. There are some rule changes that are interesting and if you want to learn about them check out nhl.com. They have a few quicktime videos that demonstrate a few.

I am not very regular!

Apparently there are things that can treat this. Anyways in the stream that George Bush doesn't like black people, here is a cool redux of some Kanye West song, with lyrics about the hurricane. I like the part where Bush walks in. Warning, Strong Language including the N word and other various naughty words. Check it out Here. I got it from boingboing initially.

Today I had some people over and we collaborated to form two majestic pizzas. Twas raining constantly so a BBQing alternative had to be had. Thus the great ovening commenced and completed. No you won't be bored with yet more pizza pictures, suffice it to say that there was a river of cheese.

Anyways it was soon after this that a real live female pointed me to this amusing video that can be gotten from this page. Basically it is a teen playing an Xbox game over the internet. He has a headset that includes a mic and he is very ornery. Warning, even worse language here, and juvenile spazzing.

Bad Weather

New Orleans is in pretty bad shape. I have collected a few links of a few clips of members of the media losing their cool, or speaking their mind that you might not see in normal times.

First of all is the somewhat amusing clip of a weatherman losing his cool and spazzing out a bit. Here

Secondly here is little article, with video of Anderson Cooper that is not too happy with the response of a senatorette that he is interviewing.

Lastly and fifthly here is a video link (hopefully) of Kanye West going off the script, to the chagrin of Mike Meyers, and saying things like "George Bush doesn't care about black people." If that doesn't work try out here.

September Somnbi

No it's not a real word. Here is a guy with a strange casemod. He made his tower, or covered it at least, with fans. I think it might be a wee bit on the noisy side. My computer is saucy and periodically turns itself spontaneously in periodic displays of defiance. It might have to do with my fans, and overheating.

I was looking for the Tragically Hip song that is probably entitled 'New Orleans is Sinking' but I couldn't dig it up. Anyways apparently it has been taken of the radio for a while because it made people sad.

I just flipped a coin to decide what random stupid picture to share. Looks like this one won.
